Customizable Brackets

Teenage girl with braces pointing to her smile

Every smile is unique, which is why we utilize customized brackets for our oral appliances, ensuring that they help you achieve the perfect results. This additional customization also helps make your treatment more effective and shorter as well. At our practice, you can trust that there’s not a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, we take the time to consider all of your individual concerns and traits, designing your treatment around you.

Carriere® Motion™

Curved thin gray metal device

Today, braces are designed with discretion, convenience, and effectiveness in mind, so straightening your smile no longer means compromising your confidence. Our Carriere Motion Appliance replaces headgear with a more discreet system that places a gentle amount of force on the teeth to pull a segment of your smile into alignment. It’s paired with elastics to help correct more severe bite misalignment in the back of the mouth.

Forsus™ Appliance

Set of springs attached to brackets on braces

The Forsus Appliance, also known as a Fatigue Resistance Device, is designed for children and teenagers in need of extensive bite correction. It’s essentially a set of springs that can be attached to metal or clear braces, towards the back of the mouth, making them virtually unnoticeable to onlookers. The springs will work to move your jaw into its ideal position to correct the bite, and in certain cases, they correct overbites much faster than traditional elastic bands.

iTero Digital Imaging

Dentist gesturing to computer monitor with digital images of teeth

At Amityville Orthodontics, our team utilizes an iTero digital impression and imaging system to capture detailed, 3D blueprints of your smile. These images can then be altered to show you what your final results will look like, as well as during the creation process of your orthodontic appliance. Not only is it more comfortable, but it’s also more detailed, ensuring that your custom brackets, retainer, or other appliance will be meticulously crafted.
